What if I have an injury (ie. back, knee etc.) or cannot do a certain exercise?  

It is not uncommon for the KINnected Training staff to work with clients who are recovering from an acute injury or have many chronic and/or old injuries. Our methodical approach to program design will ensure that our exercise selection is based on your individuals needs and abilities. There are always alternatives, and at no point should you feel vulnerable or in-danger. 

 

Who are KINnected Training's Clients? 

KINnected Training has worked with with a wide variety of clients ranging from complete beginners to fitness professionals. We have also worked with a wide demographic ranging from 12-85 years of age. Many of the clients have had a different conditions including: osteoporosis, post-heart attack, post-stroke, morbid obesity, orthopedic injuries, and post-operation rehabilitation. We at KINnected Training feel that regardless of your age/condition, everyone has the ability to make progress from a fitness perspective. You are a good candidate to work with a kinesiologist if: 

  • Your goals include weight loss, improved fitness, muscle building/toning, show prep or general health conditioning

  • You have a specific injury/injuries, disability or medical condition(s) and want to improved your health and fitness in a safe and progressive manner.

  • You have, or are currently undergoing medical treatment (Physiotherapy, Chiropractic, etc.) and want to increase your level of fitness in conjunction with your treatment.

  •     If you have a referral from a Doctor to begin active rehabilitation or return-to-work conditioning.

  •     Your overall goals are; better health (inside and out), better quality of life and improved movement ability.

  •     If you want to learn how to manage your health condition(s) utilizing physical activity and lifestyle changes.


How do I know what service is best for me?

We have many options for you at KINnected Training. If you have any question as to what service is best suited for your needs, please contact us and we will gladly assist you. 

 

Does KINnected Training have a cancellation Policy?  

If a session is cancelled with short notice (within 24 hours), your session will be subject to a non-refundable fee of $25.00. 

 

Where are you located?  

We are located at 1325 Rosemary Crescent Burlington Ontario L7P 2P3. When you arrive, please come in and make yourself comfortable. If possible, park in the empty driveway slot, behind the Volkswagen Jetta or on the road in front of the lawn. When entering the gym, please use side door (don’t worry about knocking).

Please let us know if you are afraid of dogs or have an allergy as Bowser (our very friendly gym dog) likes to greet all of our clients (check out his profile on our website to learn more).

 

What can I  expect on my first session?  

Initial consultations vary in length, so be prepared for a a 60-90minute session that will include:

  • Movement assessments

  • Goal setting

  • Waiver (if you have not already submitted an e-copy)

  • Studio Tour

 

What do I  bring?  

  • Comfortable clothes to move around in

  • Indoor shoes

  • Water bottle (We have a filtered water station)

  • Towel (If you would like to shower)
